Blume meltdown reviews12/12/2023 ![]() I’ve been using it every other night and occasionally as a spot treatment during the day, and it has not disappointed me. Throughout the day I checked my face to see if I would be any oilier, but I am happy to report I was not. When I woke up in the morning, I was pleasantly surprised to see the pimples were reduced in size, and some of the smaller ones were gone! It didn’t do much for the white heads, but I popped them (I know you’re not supposed to) and applied a little more of Meltdown as a spot treatment before putting on my daytime SPF moisturizer. Just be careful if you are sensitive to scents. Within a few minutes of rubbing it in, the scent dies down a bit. I don’t particularly like it, but I am getting used to it. I will say - the smell of lavender is VERY strong. I didn’t feel oily or dehydrated, and I wasn’t super shiny. It absorbed in almost immediately after I rubbed it into my face. I was about to start my period and noticed some small pimples and whiteheads forming. I whipped it out to use the same night I got it. I know it’s 15 ml (0.5 oz) but the slim packaging makes it feel smaller than I imagined (at least compared to Luna Night oil’s 15 ml.) For the price difference though, Meltdown is a better value - $26 vs $55.Īccording to Blume’s website, Meltdown is a “spot treatment for pimples, breakouts and blemishes.” It is supposed to: No leaks, and in a pretty rose gold metallic bubble envelope. It took a week and a half before it was in my mailbox, but it arrived intact. I had hoped for faster shipping, but I only paid $3 so I shouldn’t expect miracles. I submitted my order and within 3 days, Meltdown was on its way to me. I was also intrigued since they promote self care, aren’t shying away from period talk, and are doing positive things for women. It is, after all, being marketed with their period boxes. I decided to pull the plug on buying Meltdown because I wanted to see how well it would do during my period breakouts.
